A dog sells newspapers. A pig flies an airplane in search of a rare
bird, thought by some to be extinct. The pig has a picture of the bird. The plane lands at the edge of a country not on the maps. The pig
quietly proceeds and is frightened by a beast that emerges from the
jungle, which fortunately proves harmless. An unusually beautiful
sunrise is witnessed. The pig is surprised to meet a native musician. Several other natives come out to greet him. After they pass by, the pig has an encounter with another rare and dangerous animal, but escapes mostly unhurt. The musician joyfully finishes his tune. Elsewhere, a trio of natives have a violent argument, pausing only momentarily to join together in song before resuming their fight. The pig continues his exploration and meets a helpful guide. Despite some initial confusion, the guide shows the pig to an ideal hunting ground for the bird. He soon finds a specimen! The bird, sensing danger, escapes into the countryside, but the pig tracks him. After a long chase, it seems that the pig must go home empty-handed, but using the tricks of the natives, he is able to get close to the bird and effect a capture. Getting the bird home again, however, may not be so easy.
